Unhoused Students Face Unique Challenges. How Can Schools Help?

Without stable housing, it is difficult to tackle the other challenging issues families face. According to a report by the UCLA Center for the Transformation of Schools, the problems that unhoused families face are too complex for one system to address alone. However, schools can be service hubs that bring educational services, healthcare providers and social services to students and families in ways that welfare and housing agencies can’t do on their own.
