Luis A. Cisneros is a Research Analyst at UCLA’s Center for the Transformation of Schools, where he supports the CA Race, Education, and Community Healing (REACH) Network research initiative. Prior to working at CTS, Luis worked as a project manager supporting university-wide initiatives, trainings, and resources centering inclusive leadership and organizational transformation through NYU’s Office of Global Inclusion, Diversity, and Strategic Innovation. Luis has over 10 years of higher education experience centering underserved, underrepresented, and historically marginalized communities. As a first-generation educator from a Mexican immigrant and low-income household, Luis is deeply invested in advancing CTS’ vision of nurturing and protecting the dignity, well-being, and full potential of all students through transformative policy development.
Luis holds an M.A. in Higher Education and Student Affairs from New York University and a B.S. in Sociology from Western Oregon University. Luis enjoys traveling with his wife Carolina and spending time outdoors with their shepadoodle Roarie.
