DESCRIPTION:Hosted by the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) as part of the GENIUS Initiative. \nJuly 20–22\, 2026\, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm\nLACOE Education Center West\n12800 Ardis Ave\nDowney\, CA \nFreedom Dreaming for Black Student Success is a three-day professional learning experience for district\, site\, and equity-focused educator teams\, focused on closing opportunity gaps and supporting Black student success. The event is open to all Equity Multiplier Schools and Local Education Agencies. \nAttendees will: \n\nExplore the Supporting the African American Learner (STAAL) Research Framework\nHear from expert practitioner panels on closing opportunity gaps\nConnect with nonprofits and community agencies expanding school-based support\nTake dedicated time for team planning and action\n\nCTS is a research partner on the GENIUS Initiative.
