Computer Science Education Partnership in South Los Angeles

People of color and women have less access to STEM related fields of study and occupations than their peers. This project is designed to use an intensive computer science seminar combined with key social, emotional, and culturally responsive interventions at Augustus Hawkins High School and John Muir Middle School in South Los Angeles to begin answering questions related to the expansion of learning opportunities and the implementation of effective school improvement strategies to address the historic underrepresentation of people of color in STEM.
