Job Summary

The Center for the Transformation of Schools (CTS) at UCLA’s School of Education and Information Studies (Ed&IS) is dedicated to partnering with the education ecosystem to bring about systems change through Humanizing Research, Validating Practices, and Transformative Policies with key stakeholders to support equitable educational outcomes for historically underserved students. Under the direction of the Communications Director, the Digital Communications Coordinator for CTS is responsible for digital marketing, content creation, digital analytics, events management, and public/media relations to communicate Center’s goals, promote projects and initiatives, and to engage with and build the audience for the Center. The Digital Communications Coordinator writes content for social media, email, website, and podcast channels; executes campaigns; assist with managing the Center’s digital communications channels; coordinates with news and media outlets, and drafts press releases and other public-facing communications materials. The incumbent will assist the Communications Director in managing and analyzing social media, website, and email metrics and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of the Center’s outreach efforts. The Digital Communications Coordinator manages the technical aspects and content for the Center’s virtual (Zoom) webinars, including registration, audience management, speaker prep, event content, and event marketing and promotion.

In collaboration with the Communications Director, the Digital Communications Coordinator establishes relationships with print, digital, and broadcast media outlets to promote the work of the Center. The Digital Communications Coordinator works collaboratively with the Center’s Executive Director, Research Director, Project Directors, and other Center staff, Ed&IS and campus IT, Ed&IS External Relations, Marketing, and Communications staff and assist with special projects as needed.
